RONGEURS – RING HANDLE WITH PEACOCK EYE

1) Components / basis for explanation
1. Rongeur body = shaft and fixed ring handle part
2. movable ring handle part
3. Limiting pin of the movable ring handle part
4. Peacock eye of the movable ring handle part
5. Slider (connected to the rongeur body in the jaw
hinge)
6. Guide pin of the slider
7. Lock bar (only for instruments with lock bar)
8. Control number
2) Disassembly
1. For instruments with lock bar (for example
NKR-1Y): Before step 2 of disassembly, open
the lock bar (7) on the rear part of the rongeur
body (1) clockwise.
2. Take the closed rongeur (mouth is closed) in both
hands and gently press the slider (5) out of the
guide axis with the thumb of the left hand.
3. Press the slider (5) backwards until the peacock
eye of the movable ring handle part (4) detaches
from its receptacle in the slider (5).
