High Output Towel Heater
Please ensure these instructions are read thoroughly before commencing installation
and that all documentation is left with the home owner on completion of installation
CAUTION
•
Before use, please check that the supply voltage and that of the appliance are the same (see product rating label).
•
All wiring must comply with national wiring rules and regulations.
•
Any changes or modifi cations made or attempted to this product, without the prior written approval of the manufacturer, will void any and all
stated warranties.
WARNING
•
The towel heater will get very HOT so is NOT suitable for use in locations where this could cause a hazard (e.g. where infi rmed persons or
young children will be present unsupervised).
•
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they are capable of, and have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
•
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Note: The towel heater is not designed to be touched, or climbed on, including by children.
•
Electrical safety is guaranteed only if the element is connected to a suitably earthed electricity supply, according to the national wiring rules.
•
In case of damage to the supply cord, switch off the device and do not tamper with it. Damaged supply cords can be rectifi ed only and
exclusively by the manufacturer or by an appointed representative. Failure to comply with the above may endanger the safety of people and
the whole system.
•
The wires must be connected into a permanent connection unit which complies with applicable national wiring standards.
•
Fitted inside the towel heater are two separate protection devices to prevent over-heating of the towel heater. These are a thermostat and
thermofuse.
•
The element must be permanently connected to a suitable electricity supply by way of the cable provided. This should be via a permanent
connection unit in accordance with the national wiring rules. If sited in a bathroom, the permanent connection unit must be located out of
reach of persons using the basin, shower or bath. If in doubt, consult a qualifi ed electrician.
