Do not obstruct the openings on the
sensors.
Direct intense sunlight, rain and snow over
an extended period can discolor or damage
the device. Consider placing the sensor
where it has overhead cover and/or
protection from the elements.
Place the sensor where it will be out of
reach of children.
Place the sensor where it will not be
subjected to tampering or physical damage.
As the mounting height should not affect
the readings of the sensor, consider
mounting the sensor above than where it
may be subjected to physical impact, theft
or tampering.
Install the Sensor
If you are hanging the sensor from a wall or
other surface, provide a stable hook, nail, screw
or other similar mounting method, and hang the
mounting loop on it.
Consider the mounting method and/or secure it
with tie wraps/zip ties or other similar method to
protect the sensor from falling off the wall or
surface.
