PROFIBUS DP protocol, please refer to relevant references or literatures. 3. DVPPF02-SL is a PROFIBUS DP slave communication module, used for connecting the Delta series PLC such as DVP-SV, DVP-SX2, DVP-SV3 and DVP-SX3 to the PROFIBUS DP network. DVPPF02-SL works as a left-side extension module of the DVP PLC, and no external power supply is required when it is used since its power is supplied by the PLC.

  • Page 34 PROFIBUS DP Slave Communication Module DVPPF02-SL 10.2 I/O mapping relationship between master PLC and slave PLC The input and output areas allocated by the AH master PLC to the master module are shown in the following figure. (For details, see section 15.1 in the SYCON.net help.) The following figure shows the starting addresses and lengths for the OUTPUT and INPUT areas allocated by the master PLC to the master module in this example.
  • Page 35 INPUT area + (Address offset / 2). Please pay your attention to the descriptions mentioned above when the master and the DVPPF02-SL slave are connected. The mapping relationship between the master PLC’s D registers and the slave’s configuration modules is related to the master parameters setting.
  • Page 36 In the two example figures above, the AH master’s PLC respectively assigns D1000 and D3000 as the starting addresses of the INPUT and OUTPUT areas to the master module. The mappings between the master PLC’s registers and the slave DVPPF02-SL’s configuration modules are shown in the following table.
  • Page 37 Write the PLC program for the master in the ISPSoft software. When the master PLC is running and M0 is ON, the master PLC starts to control DVPPF02-SL’s configuration modules. When M1 is ON, the master PLC reads corresponding values of DVPPF02-SL’s configuration modules.
  • Page 38 Delta PLC programs can be written in the WPLSoft software. For details on programming, refer to the  WPLSoft help. When M0 is ON, write 3000 to D6250 and 4000 to D6251. DVPPF02-SL transmits the data in D6250 and  D6251 to the D1000 and D1001 in the master through the PROFIBUS DP bus.
