1. Line-in bps
• Sets the bit rate (quality) of MP3 files recorded through line-in.
• You can select from among 96, 112 and 128 kbps.
• Select Line-in quality and press the MENU button. Then you can select a value with
the + and - buttons.
2. Voice bps
• Sets the bit rate (quality) of files recorded through the built-in microphone at the front
of iAUDIO.
• You can select from among 96, 112 and 128 kbps.
• All MP3 files recorded through the microphone are Mono.
• Select Voice quality and press the MENU button. Then you can select a value with the + and
- buttons.
3. FM Radio bps
• Sets the bit rate (quality) of MP3 files recorded by pressing the REC button while
listening to FM radio.
• You can select from among 96, 112 and 128 kbps.
• Select FM Radio quality and press the MENU button. Then you can select a value with
the + and - buttons.
4. Mic Volume
• Adjusts the volume level of incoming sound from the built-in microphone.
• Setting this volume too high may amplify surrounding noises or electric noises, and
decrease the recording quality.
• You can select a value between 1 and 10. The larger this value is, the more amplified
the sound is.
• Select Mic Volume and press the MENU button. Then you can select a value with the
+ and - buttons.
5. Voice Active
• When there is no sound input during recording, the recording automatically pauses,
but resumes when there is noticeable sound. This saves memory space.
• You can select a value between 0 and 10. A smaller value makes this more sensitive.
Setting this value too high against surrounding noise may lower sensitivity and make
iAUDIO continuously remain on recording standby state. Be sure to set this to 0
(Off) before beginning an important recording.
• Select Voice Active and press the MENU button. Then you can select a value with
the + and - buttons.
