    1 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 1. This product should be installed by a trained person competent in kitchen and electrical installations. Installation by untrained individuals could lead to poor operational performance, damage to the product, and accidents. Products subject to incorrect installation will not be covered by the warranty. 2.

    4 INSTALLATION Mounting Distances The distance between the hob and the hood must be at least 65cm, or greater if the hob manufacturer’s instructions stipulate. You may want to bear in mind that the design of a future hob or cooker top could be a couple of centimetres higher.
  • Page 9 Body Mounting Drill the product from points A with a Ø8 drill bit and from points B with a Ø6 drill bit as per the dimensions given below. Tap Ø8 and Ø6 wall plugs. From the points A, perform installation to the body with a Ø5 x 50 mm screw; and from points B, perform installation to the inner flue connection plate with a Ø3.9 x 30 mm screw.
  • Page 10 Carbon Filter Assembly Open the product cover and take out the aluminum filter. Turn the carbon filter in the direction of the arrow by pressing the sides. (see Fig. 1-2) Figure 2 Figure 1 Flap Assembly An air discharge valve prevents the entry of foreign items in the motor assembly when installing your hood via a flue.
  • Page 11 Mounting of Aluminum Pipe Mount the flexible aluminium pipe on the flue. Install the other end of the pipe to the flue hole in the kitchen. Spiral tube and screw clamp are not included in the product accessories. They should be purchased additionally. (See Fig. 6) Note: Aluminum spiral tube is used for connections with flue.

    Flue Installation Secure the external flue to the body with 2 pieces of Ø3.5 x 9.5 mm screws as shown in Figure 9. Secure the inner flue to the inner flue connection plate with 2 pieces of Ø3.5 x 9.5 mm screws as shown in figure 10. Figure 10 Figure 9 1.
  • Page 13 WARNING: Carbon filters are optional parts, they must be purchased separately. The model number for this Altimo CH602W hood is CF006. Carbon filters cannot be washed. Usage of the Carbon Filter This hood has the option of utilizing a carbon filter to reduce cooking odors.

    Installation of the Carbon Filter Carbon filters are for use in kitchens without a flue outlet to reduce the cooking odors. Carbon filters must be installed on both sides of the fan motor assembly by rotating them10 degrees clockwise as shown in Figure 11. Reverse this procedure for removal.

    7 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING WARNING: Prior to each maintenance and cleaning, the unit must be unplugged or the fuse to which it is connected must be turned off. 1. Pay attention to clean the appliance, especially immediately after cooking fried foods.

    Removal of Aluminum Filter Pull the aluminum filter by pressing it down as shown in figure 15. Reverse the process to install the filter. Note: Avoid bending the aluminum filter to prevent damage.
