FIVE CHANNEL AMPLIFIER 14. Subsonic Filter – The subsonic filter is a high pass filter designed to conserve amplifier power and protect subwoofers from ex- tremely low frequencies. EPIC Series amplifiers have a subsonic filter with variable cutoff frequencies ranging from OFF to 50 Hz. The subsonic filter is highly recommended for vented subwoofer enclosures with a recommended setting of 1/2 octave below the enclosure tunning frequency.
