All areas that do not receive a page when one is due, should be classed as out of range until a new page is received at an acceptable level with no corruption, then the range shall be classed as acceptable to work with the proposed location of the transmitter.

The supplementary features of PageTek Pro Mk2 systems (e.g., sending panel data to pagers, and/or messages from the ConnexPage PC paging application) are outside the scope of BS5839-1 and can therefore, potentially be used with radio transponders, possibly alongside additional transmitters as described above.

Scope Communications UK Ltd RTESTP User Manual Mini Dipole Antenna Model LDP Mounting Instructions Half-wave lightweight dipole antenna (LDPBNC) For optimum coverage, the dipole radiators must be positioned vertically, with the “E” symbol facing downwards towards the ground. Avoid mounting the dipole on or near to any metal girders, pillars, or other metallic obstructions.

Scope transmitters operate on UHF frequencies which incur high power losses in the antenna feeder cable. Always use quality 50 OHM coaxial cable. RG58 is only acceptable on cable runs of up to 5 metres.

If a repeater is needed, position the transmitter where you believe the repeater should be located and conduct the test again. Keep in mind that the Scope receivers may have different characteristics. Please note that these tests only reflect the conditions at the time of testing.
