EPOC-S Responder with Lone Worker

QUICK START GUIDE

1. To switch the EPOC-S on, push and hold the Menu button (see below).

2. Calling for help

Two buttons have been setup to allow the user to call for
help:
Holding the central select button for 2 seconds will send a
message to all other users within range asking for
"ASSISTANCE".
Holding the menu button for 2 seconds will send a message to
all other users within range notifying them of an
"EMERGENCY".
Users receiving these messages can notify others that they are
either 'responding' or 'unavailable'.

3. Lone Worker functions

The EPOC-S can detect a lack of movement and also detect a fall. Each function
can be selected independently in the Lone Worker menu. To access this section,
press the Menu button, move to the "Lone Worker" option using the arrow keys,
and then press Select.
NOTE: Lone worker functionality is automatically disabled whilst the EPOC-S is in
the charging dock.
The EPOC-S is designed to be simple to operate. The menu is
accessed using the Menu button, and navigated using the
Arrow keys and Select button.
The menu can be used to:
 View all received, sent and internally-stored messages
 Select normal or silent mode
 Change the screen text size
 Set the clock
 Set up automatic night-time muting
 Access the torch function
 Activate/deactivate Lone Worker fall detection
 Activate/deactivate Lone Worker movement detection
 Power-off

  • Page 2 7. Quiet Period (automatic night-time mode) The EPOC-S has the option to automatically switch off the ring tone during set periods (eg overnight). There is a user option in the clock set menu to enable or disable this function and set the times. By default the EPOC- S will alert at all times.
