CONNECTING THE NAILER TO AIR SUPPLY
Do not use oxygen, combustible gases or bottled gases as a
DANGER
power source for this nailer. The nailer will explode and cause death
or serious injury.
Disconnect the nailer from the nailer/stapler air refill kit before
WARNING
leaving the work area, moving the nailer to another location, or
handing the nailer to another person. Failure to do so could result in serious personal
injury.
When connecting nailer/stapler air refill kit, always keep hands
WARNING
and body away from discharge area of the nailer.
a. Remove the battery pack from the nailer.
b. Remove all nails from the magazine.
c. Use a Phillips screwdriver (not included) to remove the four screws and take off
the back cover (Fig. 1).

d. Use a 4 mm Allen key (not included) to remove the cylinder bolt (Fig. 2).
e. Use the Allen key to gently press the air valve in the cylinder inflation port and
hold for 5 seconds to let the air out of the cylinder (Fig. 3).
f. Screw in the nailer/stapler air refill kit into the cylinder inflation port clockwise and
tighten it by hand (Fig. 4).

g. Set the recommended air pressure on the air compressor (Fig. 5). Refer to table
"Recommended air pressure for FLEX nailers" below.
Air pressure set too high can cause abnormal operation and failure of

the nailer.
h. Connect the air compressor hose to the nailer/stapler air refill kit connector (Fig. 6).

i. Fully press the knob of the nailer/stapler air refill kit and hold for 15 seconds, then
release, allowing the knob to automatically reset. (Fig. 7).
j. After pressurizing the cylinder, disconnect the air compressor hose from the nailer/
stapler air refill kit connector.
k. Turn the nailer/stapler air refill kit counterclockwise to remove it from the cylinder
inflation port.

l. Open the jam release latch and check
the position of the striker (Fig. 8).
If the position of the striker is abnormal,
reset the striker:
- Attach a fully charged battery pack to the
nailer and press the power switch.
- S lide the magazine open, grip the nailer
firmly to maintain control.
- Position the workpiece contact of the
nailer onto the work surface and squeeze
the trigger switch to make the tool operate
a few times (Fig. 9).
- Remove the battery pack again. Then
repeat above steps from step d.
m. Trial run the nailer by attaching a battery pack and using proper fasteners.
If there is abnormal noise and vibration, or the fasteners cannot be fully
driven into work surface, then the air refilling resulted in either over
pressurizing or under pressurizing. Repeat above steps from step a.
n. Use a 4 mm Allen key (not included) to reinstall the cylinder bolt.
o. Use a Phillips screwdriver (not included) to reinstall the back cover and secure it

with four screws.

d. Utilisez une clé Allen de 4 mm (non fournie) pour retirer le boulon du cylindre
(Fig. 2).

e. Utilisez la clé Allen pour appuyer doucement sur la soupape de purge d'air dans
l'orifice de gonflage du cylindre et maintenez-la enfoncée pendant 5 secondes
pour faire sortir l'air du cylindre (Fig. 3).
f. Vissez le kit de recharge d'air pour cloueuse/agrafeuse dans l'orifice de gonflage
