install iTunes on your computer
Before you can download songs to your
phone, you must install the iTunes desktop
application on your computer:
1 Place the iTunes CD-ROM (included in the
box with your phone) in your computer's
CD-ROM drive, or use your computer's
Web browser to navigate to the provided
URL to download the latest iTunes
desktop application software.
2 Follow the prompts to install the software.
3 When installation is complete,
double-click the iTunes icon i on your
desktop to open iTunes.

create a playlist
You create playlists on your computer and
transfer them to your phone. To create a
playlist:
1 Open the iTunes desktop application on
your computer.
2 Click the Add (+) button.
3 Enter a name for the playlist.
4 Use the iTunes software to drag songs
from your music library to your playlist.
5 Use the USB cable to connect your phone
to your computer.
6 When the Phone icon displays in the
iTunes desktop application, select the
playlist name to transfer it to your phone.
Tip: You must disconnect the USB cable from
your phone to play songs. Don't disconnect
the USB cable while music is transferring.

use the iTunes Music Store
Use the iTunes desktop application on your
computer to preview, buy, and download
songs from the iTunes Music Store (not
available in some countries). Most stores
offer over a million songs for purchase. Use
an Apple account to purchase songs from the
music store.
To browse and buy music:
1 Open the iTunes desktop application and
click Music Store in the Source List.
2 Click the Sign In button and follow the on
screen instructions to set up an account
or enter your existing Apple account
information.
3 When logged into your account, browse
and buy music.
Tip: When you buy a song, the name
displays in the Purchased Music playlist. You
add artwork to your songs
You can add album cover art or pictures to
your iTunes songs.
If you don't see artwork in the lower left
corner of the iTunes desktop application on
your computer, click the View Artwork icon to
open the artwork window.
If a song contains the album art, a thumbnail
image of the album art appears in the artwork
window. Press s to see the full-screen
image.
To add or change artwork, drag a picture file
to the artwork window.

transfer music
Caution: Do not disconnect the USB cable
from the computer or phone while
transferring song files. If the USB cable is
disconnected during transfer, restart the
transfer procedure to avoid corrupting song
files.
To transfer music from the iTunes desktop
application to your phone:
1 On your phone, set the memory card as
the default USB connection:

You can use a removable TransFlash memory
card with your phone to store and retrieve
multimedia content (such as songs and
photos).

Caution: Don't bend or scratch your memory
card. Keep it away from static electricity,
water, and dirt.
1 Press in the battery door release latch
and remove the battery door.
Press M > w Settings > Connection
> USB Settings > Memory Card.
2 On your computer, open the iTunes
desktop application.
3 Use the USB cable to connect the phone
to the computer.

When the Phone icon displays in the
iTunes desktop application, drag and drop
music files onto your phone.
5 When iTunes is finished transferring
music to your phone, the phone shows
OK to Disconnect. Press the large button on
the USB cable to disconnect it from your
phone.
Tip: Your phone doesn't support music
transfer over a Bluetooth wireless connection.
