  • Page 4 SECTION 2: MOWER SAFETY GUIDELINES Never allow untrained people to operate this mower. It is the owner’s responsibility to get training and see to it that anyone who has permission to use your mower receives the proper training. Do not mow around people. The factory discharge chute is designed to deflect debris downward, but it could be possible for debris to be thrown in a way that can cause damage to people or property.
  • Page 5 ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE BATTERY DISPOSAL The toxic and corrosive materials in the batteries used in this machine: Lithium-Ion, a toxic material. WARNING If the battery pack cracks or breaks, with or without leaks, do not recharge it and do not use. Discard it and replace with a new battery pack.
  • Page 6 GENERAL OPERATION Read, understand, and follow all instructions on the mower and in the manual before starting. Do not put hands or feet near rotating parts or under the mower. Keep clear of the discharge opening at all times. Always remain seated while operating the mower. Only allow responsible adults who are familiar with the instructions to operate this mower.
  • Page 7 SETTING DECK HEIGHT 2.24 If your mower is equipped with an actuator motor, raise the deck using the raise /lower switch. Refer to section 7 (Controls). When the deck is raised, set the desired height with the deck height control dial, then lower deck with the raise / lower switch.

    2.78 Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or mower outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire. 2.79 Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.

    The mower could lose traction on a decline or tip backwards on an incline. Once you become comfortable with your Bad Boy Mower you will notice your overall mowing time will decrease. Avoid operating your mower on side hills of over 5 degrees, inclines of over 10 degrees, and declines of over 15 degrees.

    SECTION 5: MOWER STORAGE & TRANSPORTATION Keep the mower from collecting debris by storing in a covered area while not in use. Secure mower with at least two straps capable of securing the weight of the mower. Deck height should be set at maximum before attempting to load. Always secure the mower properly when transporting.

    SECTION 7: CONTROLS Ignition Switch: This mower has a two-position ignition switch: off and on. With key inserted, rotate it clockwise to the on position. PTO Switch: This switch engages the blades. Pull the switch up to engage the blades and push the switch down to disengage the blades.

    SECTION 8: MOVING INOPERABLE MOWER Hopefully, you’ll never need to use this section of the manual. However, if you do, use extreme caution when moving the mower! You should never try to push or pull the mower by hand. This could cause serious bodily injury.

    MOWING TIPS: • Mow header strips at the ends of the lawn and around flower beds first. Make them wide enough that you can turn the mower around in the already mown section. Then mow back and forth between these header strips overlapping each lap by about 1/8 the width of the mower’s deck.

    SERVICE SECTION TRANSAXLE BYPASS Under the rear of the mower and between the tires, you will find the two rods shown in Fig. 3. These neutral bypass rods serve as a neutral for moving the mower while unpowered. Push the rods out and the lock will drop down to hold them in place to activate the bypass.
