This section provides an overview of components in the RPS 15 module (order number AA0005X19). The RPS 15 provides scalable power redundancy and protection to low-wattage networking equipment.
The chassis, modules, and connecting cables are ordered and shipped separately. Prior to shipping, metal filler panels cover two of the empty RPS 15 openings in the chassis. For reasons of safety and electromagnetic interference (EMI), the panels must be kept attached to the chassis unless a module is installed into...

Installing the chassis on a flat surface You can install the chassis on a flat surface instead of a rack. The surface must support the combined weight of the RPS 15 chassis and any devices you place on top of it. Refer to the user documentation for weight specifications of other devices or equipment to determine the combined weight of the equipment.
Page 24
If you are placing the RPS 15 chassis on top of another device, be sure that the device will not be damaged by the weight of the unit. Install the RPS 15 chassis in a ventilated area that is dust free, and away from heat vents, warm-air exhaust from other equipment, and direct sunlight.
