The Elo Pay 7” POS terminal contains a payment application that stores, processes and transmits cardholder data. It therefore falls within the scope of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PIC-DSS).

Ensuring cardholder data must never be stored on a server connected to the Internet If you are using the Elo Pay 7” device on a Local Area Network for the payment transaction interface and you are using a local server to store and forward the transaction data, you must take steps to protect the transaction data in accordance with DSS requirements.

About Elo Mobile Factory Full Reset A full factory reset should only be performed if all other recovery methods have failed and all other troubleshooting options. Performing a full factory reset results in loss of data. This options will recover the original factory image state by erasing all data in the main storage on the Elo handheld computer. Note: Performing a factory reset on bootloader menu, if you added a Google Account to Elo handheld Computer make sure you have your Google credential (Username and password) associated with the Elo handheld computer.
Note: The Elo Pay 7” POS terminal comes equipped with tamper evident labels. The terminal unit contains no user serviceable parts. Do not, under any circumstance, attempt to disassemble the terminal. Perform only those adjustments troubleshooting actions specified in this user guide. For all other services, contact your local Elo service provider.
