Thawing
Deep-frozen or frozen food, prior to being used, can
be thawed in the refrigerator compartment or at
room temperature, depending on the time available
for this operation.
Small pieces may even be cooked still frozen, directly
from the freezer: in this case, cooking will take longer.
Ice-cube production
This appliance is equipped with one or more trays
for the production of ice-cubes. Fill these trays with
water, then put them in the freezer compartment.
Do not use metallic instruments to remove the
trays from the freezer.

ZERO DEGREE Compartment

Temperature
The temperature in this compartment is
automatically maintained between 0¡C and +3¡C.
No adjustment is needed by the user.
Food storage and humidity control
Various fresh foods can be stored in the ZERO DE-
GREE compartment for almost twice as long as in
the refrigerator compartment.
The humidity contained in the foods (in particular
fruit and vegetables) make optimum storage
conditions possible.
The two top drawers are fitted with slits (A - see
figure) (adjustable by means of sliding levers) which
allow the humidity inside the drawers to be varied.
Highest humidity is maintained with the slits closed.
The bottom drawer is low humidity.
Food recommended for storage in the ZERO DE-
GREE compartment
The following foods can be stored in this compart-
ment:
