External Drives
If you are using a 2.5'' external hard drive, please
use the USB cable that came with your hard drive
for best performance.
External HDD
Using External Drive
The media player is compatible with drives formatted in FAT16 or FAT32 (read-write), EXT2/EXT3/EXT4
(read-write), NTFS (read-write), exFAT (read-write), HFS/HFS+ (Mac standard OS /Extended) (read-on-
ly), BTRFS (read-write). It is possible to format your hard drive via Explorer via Menu > Format.
Large capacity drives
The media player supports partitions up to 32TB. It can also format partitions up to 16TB via Explorer. To use
hard drives larger than 16TB, use formatting software on your computer to format your hard drive.

Connecting USB Drives
Connect your USB drives to one of the available
USB ports. If you want to play video files, USB 2.0
is enough to support very high speeds (up to 300
Mbps). If you want to transfer files, we recommend
using USB 3.0 ports for faster transfers.
The power supplied by the USB ports may not be
enough to allow the external drive to function
properly; depending on the hard drive, especially
for large capacity drives. In this case, please use
a docking station.
Please do not disconnect or turn off the USB
external drive during writing operations such as
copying or transferring files.
The player is compatible with UASP HDD
docking stations as well as USB hubs.
