If oil is still entering the air line after replacing the separator on a Hydrovane HV05, possible causes include:
1. Overfilling the compressor with oil—if oil exceeds the correct level, it may carry over into the air line. 2. Damaged or improperly fitted oil separator—if the new separator is not sealed correctly or is defective, it may not function properly. 3. Blocked or faulty oil return line—if oil cannot return to the compressor sump, it may be forced into the air stream. 4. Excessive internal wear—worn components may allow oil to bypass the separator.
Each of these issues should be checked during troubleshooting.
