Troubleshooting Chart
38.0 Continued.
38.3 Proportioning valve
malfunction.
RESPIRONICS"
38.3 Replace O, valve.
39.0 Tidal Volume less than desired.
39.1 Oxygen source pressure too
low or absent.
39.2 Proportioning valve
malfunction.
39.3 Regulator malfunction.
39.1 Check O, source.
Must be
greater than 45 psi.
39.2 Replace oxygen valve.
39.3 Check output of regulator. Must
be 39 to 41 psi, flowing.
40.0 Tidal Volume more than desired.
40.1 Oxygen source pressure too
high.
40.2 Proportioning valve
malfunction.
40.3 Regulator malfunction.
40.1 Check
O, source
pressure.
Must be less than 65 psi.
40.2 Replace oxygen valve.
40.3 Check output of regulator. Must
be 39 to 41 psi, flowing.
41.0 SIMV spontaneous volume Fio,
out of range.
41.1 Oxygen sensor malfunction.
41.2 Oxygen thermistor
malfunction.
41.1 Perform 2-point calibration of O,
sensor. Sensor must be 6-17 mV
at ambient.
41.2 Replace oxygen airway
assembly.
42.0 Thermistor reading is above 130
(refer to step 3 of Calibration
Steps in Section 10.0).
42.1 Thermistor assembly is not
plugged to P3 on the logic
board.
42.2 Thermistor assembly is open.
This may be due to bad
crimps at the connector, bad
wires, or an open thermistor.
42.1 Check that the thermistor is
plugged
into P3 of the logic
board.
42.2 Unplug P3 and measure the re-
sistance across the connector
with the wires, not the logic
board. Ifthe resistance is infinite,
the resistor, the wires, or the
crimps in the connector are bad.
Replace the oxygen airway
assembly.
43.0 No oxygen fiow.
43.1 R103 on O, control board is
open.
43.2 Q102 is shorted open.
43.3 U102 and CR101 on O, driver,
(power board 37901 old style),
are inoperative.
43.1 Replace R103.
43.2 Replace Q102.
