Position/Operation
Observe
POWER
ON
1 kHz square wave.
Dial
Rotate dial. Return to 1.0.
Rotation ccw increases frequency of square on
one channel and de level on other channel; cw
decreases frequency and de level.
FREQUENCY MULT
Rotate switch. Return to 1 K.
Rotation cw increases frequency; ccw decreases
frequency (de level not affected).
VERNIER
Rotate ccw. Return to CAL.
Rotation ccw gives a small decrease in frequency.
ATTENUATION
Rotate ccw. Return to 0.
Rotation ccw reduces square wave amplitude.
ATTENUATION VERNIER
Rotate ccw.
Square wave amplitude decreases.
DC OFFSET
Rotate cw. Return to OFF.
Square wave is immediately offset below previous
level; then waveform moves up to a positive level.
OFF returns waveform to original position. (Clip·
ping occurs at ±15V.)
Function Generator or
Vary input voltage.
Waveform de level varies.
Voltage Source
Remove EXT DC OFFSET IN cable and connect to VCG IN connector. Remove GCV OUT cable.

FUNCTION
SYMMETRY
Vary input voltage; then dis·
connect input.
Rotate cw.
Rotate to DC, '\, ,
'V ,
'1 .
n . u '
then
'V
Rotate cw, then to OFF.
Frequency increases with increased voltage, de·
creases with decreased voltage.
Note de level on scope. '\, ,
'V
and
'1
should be centered on de level.
n
should rest
on de level,
U
should rise to de level.
Waveform changes from
'V
to
IV
to
"""
and frequency decreases, then to
'V
at
original frequency.
