Ther
e are two types of
tape printer set
s
for stock
licker
service.
T
he
set which
produces
a
printed paper
tape for direct
read
-
ing, and
the
set which produces
printing
on
tra
nsparent
tape
for projection.
The
direct
-
readin
g
paper-tape
set ls packed
in
three car-
tons.
One
small
package
contains the circuit
card; a
second
package
contains the cover
;
the
thlrd package
conlalt1s the tape
printer
com-
pletely
assembled
with motor
,
base and sub-
base
. The
pedestal
Is packed in its individual
carton.
The projector set
Is
packed
In
five
car
-
tons.
One
carton contains
the cir cuit
card; one
contains a cover; one contains
the
ta
pe printer
completely
assembled
with motor,
base
,
sub
-
base
and the
motor cont
rol
assembly
mounted
on
the subbase and wired to a
terminal
block at
rear of unit. The tape puller an
d
the electrical
service assembly are each packed
In
Individual
cartons.
Certain adjustments
must
be made
or
checked
after the set is
installed.
For
Illustra-
tions of parts, the numbers of
which are listed
herein, refer to appropriate
par ts
literature.

INSTALLATION
UNPACKING
2.01
Cul the cartons along the
sealed edges
carefully
to avoid damaging
the equip
-
ment.
Remove the units
from each
ca
rton.
Place the
tape
printer on
the
tab le,
pedestal or
projector
base,
whichever
Is to be used,
and
secure
It
In
position.

Line
2.02
Connect
the
lncomlng
signal
line
(R & Y)
to Terminal
1
and 4 on
the
terminal
board of the binged plate at
the rear
of the bas
e
as shown in Figure
1
an
d 7126
WD. Secure the
signal line
to
the base
with a TP121243 Cable
Clamp, TP151658 Screw, TP219
1
Loc
kwasher,
and T P7002 Washer. Remove the shunt
by
loos
-
ening the strap
mounting
screw
on
the terminal
block and rotating
the
shunt out o[
connection
with Its screw
.

Tape
2.03
Unsnap
the
tape roll retainer
from
Its
catch.
Place a roll of paper
tape
ove
r
the
spind le
so tha
t
the tape will
unwind
from
right to
left
ove
r
the top of
the
roll as shown In
Figure 2.
Close the
retainer
over the
roll by
sriapping
it
over
!ts catch.
Thr
ead
the
tape
through
the tape
chute
and between the
feed rol
-
ler and pressure roller .
