PARTIAL DOSE PROCEDURE

# INSTRUCTION
1. Press "Start"
2. The device will check if the cartridge
contains enough solution for a full dose
injection.
3. The dose is not suffi cient.
4. Press "Yes" if you want a partial dose
5. Perform the fi rst injection with the
remaining solution in the cartridge.
6. The device asks if a 2nd injection should
be performed. Press "Yes".
7. Remove the used needle, change the
cartridge and insert a new needle.

8. Perform the second injection with the
new cartridge.
The device will automatically calculate the
missing dose to be injected.

CARTRIDGE

4.1 Change the cartridge

# INSTRUCTION
1. Press "Start"
2. The cartridge is empty. The injection
button light turns red.
3. Open the cartridge door by sliding up
the button on the top left side of the
easypod™. Fig. 17
4. Remove the empty cartridge, if any.

5. Insert a new cartridge containing the
solution of Saizen® into the cartridge
container. Fig. 19
6. Close the cartridge door by pushing it
until a click is heard. Fig. 20
The cartridge will be identifi ed when the
device beeps.
7. The device is ready for injection.

4.2 Remove a partially fi lled cartridge (e.g. for travelling)

# INSTRUCTION
1. Select "Menu".
2. Select "Remove cartridge"
3. Press "Yes". The cartridge door can be
opened when the device beeps twice.

DISPLAY NOTE/WARNING
Cartridge content: Press "No" if you do not want a partial
x.xx mg dose. You will then need to change the

Partial dose: Press "No" if you do not wish to perform

Missing: x.xx mg The injection procedure is stopped. The

DISPLAY NOTE/WARNING
Cartridge empty The device must be switched on and the

If the door does not open, the cartridge
is not empty. Open only when the
cartridge is empty or through the menu
for removing the cartridge.

Insert cartridge Make sure the peel-off label on the
cartridge is removed. Check that the
2nd label with the information strips is
present and undamaged, otherwise the
device will not recognize the cartridge.
The message "Cartridge not recognized.
Continue?" may be displayed if the label
on the cartridge is not recognized.

Warning: To ensure a correct dosage, you
need to ensure that the device setting is
the correct one for the type of cartridge
you are using.
