Page 4: Attaching The Needle
ATTACH YOUr needle ATTACHING THE NEEDLE Screw the threaded tip of the pen into the outer needle cap until it is firmly in place. Take care not to screw it in too tightly as it may become difficult to remove the needle after the injection. - Page 5 removING air from the SYSTEM To remove a large air bubble Check for air in the system from the system, turn the dose-setting knob clockwise until • a dot (•) is displayed in the dose feedback window. If you go past the Check for a large air bubble dot, you can easily turn the knob back the other way to come back to it.
- Page 6 Keep holding the pen with the needle pointing upwards. Gently tap the reservoir holder with your finger so that any air bubbles setting your dose rise up towards the needle. Gently turn the dose-setting knob clockwise. The dose display will show a straight line. With the needle still pointing upwards, slowly press the dose-setting knob as far as it will go.
