Setting reception optimization (M/S)

You can choose from two different reception optimi-
zation settings to suppress reception-dependent inter-
ference and reflections.

: Setting for normal operation - i.e., the sys-
tem switches from stereo to mono and back de-

pending upon reception level (provides the opti-
mum setting for almost all reception areas).

: Setting for exceptional reception condi-
tions - i.e. the unit is constantly set to stereo.

: Setting for reception conditions in which
reflections constantly occur - i.e., the unit is set
constantly to mono.
The setting is effective immediately and is also re-
tained after power is turned off.
Setting navigation announcements (Nav)
With this function you can select how to hear naviga-
tion announcements.

: The current audio source is turned off and

- The volume of the current audio source is
lowered. The navigation announcement is set to the
same volume as the current audio source but is still
adjustable within a range of +/-6 dB. If the audio
source volume is then changed, the navigation an-
