Only one serial connection can be established with the EX-13003 4-in-1 cable;
simultaneous use of RS-232, RS-422, RS-485 or TTL is not possible.

By dual assignment of the pins, the USB Type-C plug can be plugged into the port on
both sides.

HARDWARE INSTALLATION
Because there are large differences between PC's, we can give you only a general installation
guide for the EX-23001. Please refer your computers reference manual whenever in doubt.
1. Connect the EX-23001 USB to the USB A-Port or C-Port at the your PC.
2. When you are ready you can start your PC and continue with the point „Driver Installation".

After the hardware installation Windows will recognize the device automatically and install the

drivers. If the driver shoul not be installed automatically, please download the driver from our

homepage (www.exsys.de / www.exsys.ch) first. Now select the folder with your operating
system and install the driver. Follow the hardware assistant and finish the installation.
Important! Restart your PC in any case after installing the drivers.
CHECK INSTALLED DRIVER
Open the >Device manager<. Now you should see at „Ports (COM & LPT)" and „USB-
Controller" the following new entry:

If you see this or a similar information the device is installed correctly.

CLEANING
To clean the unit, use only a dry, lint-free cloth and apply light pressure to remove dirt. Be
careful not to leave any fibres of the cloth in the connector area.
Never use a damp or wet cloth for cleaning!

BESCHREIBUNG & TECHNISCHE DATEN
Das 4-in-1 USB zu Seriell Kabel EX-13003 mit A- und C-Stecker stellt wahlweise eine serielle
RS-232/422/485 Schnittstelle sowie RS-232 kompatible TTL 5V oder 3.3V Logikpegel zur
Verfügung. Die Verbindungen der seriellen Anschlüsse erfolgen auf einfache Weise am
integrierten Terminalblock. Durch den einfachen Anschluss am USB-A oder USB-C Port muss
der Rechner nicht geöffnet werden und das EX-13003 kann bei laufendem Betrieb installiert
werden.
