PICKUPS:
The bridge pick-up is of the distortion class 12-pole
"humbucking" noise cancelling type. The neck and middle
pick-ups are of the hi-output single coil type. All the pickups
are fully height adjustable by means of height adjusting
screws and the bridge pickup has individually adjustable pole
pieces for adjustment of each string's output level.
CONTROLS:
1. Volume Control:
The volume control acts
asa master
volume in that it controls the total signal level de-
livered from all pickups to the output jack. Rotating
the control knob clockwise will increase volume;
rotating counterclockwise will reduce volume.
2, Tone Control: The tone control, like the volume control,
operates as a master control. Rotating clock-
wise will result in more treble (high frequencies) and a
brighter tonality. Rotating counterclockwise wiil result in
less treble and a "bassier' type sound.
ickup Selector Switch: This five-position switch allows
selection of any individual pickup, or two combinations
of multiple pickups. The available selection possibilities
are as follows:
First Position (Toward the neck) Selects output of neck
pickup only.
Second Position (One click back) Selects output of neck
and center pickups.
Third Position (Center) Selects output of center pickup
only.
Fourth Position (One click back of center) Selects output
of center and bridge pickups.
Fifth Position (Toward bridge) Selects output of bridge
pickup only.
Coil Tap Switch: This two position switch selects the
bridge pickup to be either a humbucker or a single coil
6
configuration. Pushing the switch toward the neck
selects this pickup as single coil. Pushing the switch
toward the bridge selects this pickup as humbucking.
