Issue 1, July 1996 Section 1 INTRODUCTION This manual describes the setup and installation procedures for the Intraplex PT-D350 and PR- D350 AES/EBU Program Audio Modules. Experienced users may refer directly to the tables in Section 2 for configuration data. -

When under remote control, certain configuration parameters can be changed only via the RS-232 remote port on the multiplexer. -

TESTING AND TROUBLESHOOTING Transmission Line Testing The PT-D350 module contains a test signal generator that inserts a 1004 Hz sine wave tone at +8.0 dBm on both channels simultaneously. This signal can be used to test the transmission line (T1, 2 MB, or other) without the need for external test equipment. -

Connect an AES/EBU decoder to the output connector on the module adapter behind the PR-D350. Observe the LEDs on the PT-D350: The SRVC LED should be on, the FAIL and ERR LEDs should be off. Adjust the output level on the AES/EBU signal generator until the first three green LEVEL LEDs are on. -
