- Page 11 ASSEMBLY & OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS PREPARE THE MACHINE FOR OPERATION (SETTING UP) The 1500 DC-1 machine is packed in two separate boxes. The machine is in box 1 of 2, and the handle is in carton 2 of 2. Unpack the machine and handle carefully. Insert the handle into the handle adaptor socket and tighten the two square head screws to hold the handle firmly in place.
