2. Insert the Storage Module at an angle into its socket, aligning the notch on the Storage Module with the socket key. Caution Do not touch the gold connectors or circuit components on the Storage Module. Confidential and proprietary information of NCR. Imaging a New SSD Factory default HDD/SSD images for the NCR KC5 are distributed on bootable auto-imaging USB Flash Drive media. Warning Performing the following procedure will replace any previously stored OS images created using the Disk Image Backup and Recovery Tool.
Component Access To access or service the NCR KC5 internal components, the front cover, back cover, and top extrusion must be removed. Note The unit must be placed upside down. Gripping the gasket, remove both the Plate Gasket and the Front Plate from the unit. 3. Remove the Back Cover. a. Remove the screw that secure the Back Plate to the Display Port connector. Remove the two flat head screws that secure the Back Plate and the Plate Gasket to the unit. c. Gripping the gasket, remove both the Plate Gasket and the Back Plate from the unit. 4. Slide the Top Extrusion out of the Bottom Extrusion. Confidential and proprietary information of NCR. Unauthorized use, reproduction and/or distribution is strictly prohibited.

1. Place the Top Extrusion into the grooves of the Bottom Extrusion, and slide the Top Extrusion until its ends are properly aligned with the Bottom Extrusion. Confidential and proprietary information of NCR. Unauthorized use, reproduction and/or distribution is strictly prohibited.

Position the indicated portion of the Plate Gasket between the Motherboard and the Bottom Extrusion. Note The rim of the Plate Gasket must evenly fit around the top and bottom extrusions. Top Extrusion. Gently push this grounding finger to assist in insertion. c. Install the two flat head screws to secure the Back Plate and the Plate Gasket to the unit. Confidential and proprietary information of NCR. Unauthorized use, reproduction and/or distribution is strictly prohibited.

Position the indicated portion of the Plate Gasket between the Motherboard and the Bottom Extrusion. Note The rim of the Plate Gasket must evenly fit around the top and bottom extrusions.
