The Comfort Bilt Alpine HP42 stove could shut down when the blower activates, showing a failure to ignite code and a locked diagnostic screen, due to the following reasons:
1. Igniter Malfunction – The igniter may not be heating up properly. Ensure it is positioned correctly and reaches high temperatures within 2 minutes. If it fails to heat up or is damaged, it may need replacement.
2. Incorrect Burn Pot Placement – The burn pot must be properly seated with the small hole and ring positioned toward the back of the stove. Incorrect placement can prevent proper ignition.
3. Pellet Feed Issues – If pellets are not being delivered to the burn pot, ignition will fail. Check the pellet feeder mechanism for blockages or malfunctions.
4. Improper Sealing – An improperly sealed front door can cause air leaks, disrupting combustion and leading to ignition failure.
These issues can trigger the failure to ignite code and lock the diagnostic screen.
