A Comfort Bilt HP22 stove might not turn on even when plugged in and has power due to issues with the fuses or the power switch. These components are crucial for the stove's operation, and if they fail, the stove will not start, and nothing will illuminate on the user screen. Checking and replacing the fuses or the power switch may resolve the issue. Always unplug the stove before performing any maintenance.

Hi there. I have an issue with my HP22 pellet stove and im unsure how to trouble shoot and figure out what the problem is. Lately my flame has been abnormal and the pellets are not getting properly consumed. Black soot is building up inside the box and on the glass and it never did that before. Both the whole unit **** and the exhaust **** is functioning because i can see and hear them however I'm not sure if perhaps something is going on with the air flow or if there is a combustion setting that is out of whack. The pellets begin to feed and ignite, however due to the lack of consumption and a lazy flame, they build up and eventually the system backs up and builds up ash and prevents further airflow. Please help

For a Comfort Bilt HP22 pellet stove showing abnormal flame and pellet consumption issues (such as a lazy or dirty flame, pellet buildup in the burn pot, or dark black smoke or ash), follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Check Burn Pot: Remove any clinkers or blockages. Ensure the burn pot is seated flush on the cradle to prevent air leaks around the pellets.
2. Inspect Seals and Gaskets: Make sure there are no leakages or loose seals, especially around the glass door and ash pan. Ensure ash pan side latches are snug and apply even pressure.
3. Clean the Stove: - Clean the fire pot. - Clean the ash pan. - Clean the exhaust vent system. - Use the cover plate clean-out hole to clean the stove internally.
4. Check Fuel Quality: Use high-quality pellets to reduce smoke and ash buildup.
5. Adjust Exhaust Motor Voltage: Increase the exhaust motor voltage if needed to improve airflow.
