© Setup
Fasten each screw tightly.
*
This unit must be carefully placed so It İs level and sure to remain stable.
*
Do not allow the speaker cord, power cord or connection cord to get twisted or
pinched while assembling tha C-280P.
*
Connect the C-280P only after confirming that the organ Is set up on flooring
that Is both stable and level.
*
Remove the music stand before setting up the pipe system (for instructions on
j
removing the music stand, refer to the C-280 Organ Owner's Manual).
*
To prevent accidental falis and injury, retrain from stepping on, or hanging from
the organ brackets during or after Installation of the pipe system.
Remove the four caps found at the positions indicated in the figure of
the organ's top panel. `
2. Insert the four dowels in the holes revealed when the caps are
removed, and screw down the dowels securely, so that they do not
shake or rattle within the holes.
3. Align the four holes on the bottom surface of the pipe system with the
four dowels protruding from the organ's upper panel, then affix the
pipe system, making sure all dowels are fully inserted in the holes.

When setting up the pipe system, grip the handle on the rear and the front of the
side panel, taking care not to allow your hand to become caught between the
organ and the pipes.

Also make sure that the connection cord Is not pinched between the organ and
the pipes.

4. Run the connection cord extending from the handle on the rear panel
of the pipe system past the handle on the organ's rear panel, then plug
the cord into the pipe system connector at the bottom of the organ.
5. Position the metal plate vertically across the rear panels of the organ
and pipe system, then fasten the plate with screws "a."

from falling over, fasten the anti-earthquake cabinet holders in the

© Precautions When Using the Safety Hardware

Fasten the hardware to a wall with a thickness of al least 17 mm. Make sure the
core materia! of the wall Is strong enough to withstand the weight. If not, the
brackets should be fastened to crosspleces (or other beams running through the
wall) Instead.

Thescrewsincuded with the hardware are meant to be screwed into hard wood,
wali core, or similar material. Attaching the hardware to lumber butt ends, con-
crete walis, gypsum board, or other such surfaces requires the use of special
hardware and screws; consult your contractor or carpenter.

When properly Installed, this hardware is extremely effective in preventing the
organ and pipes from falling over. However, In addition to Incorrect Installation,
certain factors, Including weakening of walls due to unexpectedly strang earth-
quakes, or deterioration of the lumber used may prevent realization of such
effectiveness. In the event of an earthquake, Immediately move away trom the
organ.

Be sure to first disconnect the connection cord and remove the metal piate and
the antl-earthquake cabinet holder, then carry the C-280P and the organ sepa-
rately.
