This instrument permits a cheap and quick con-
trol of large numbers of microphones, speakers,
amplifiers, transmission lines etc ., showing the
frequency response of the equipment being exa-
mined directly on the screen of a long after-glow
cathode ray tube . The X-axis has a logarithmic
frequency scale, while the Y-deflection amplifier
has a logarithmic response over a range of 50 db .
