4. THE TV SET FUNCTIONS
Selecting a TV channel
Select the required TV channel (= the programme
number) with the I £ + Inr the I p ~ ZI button or the
digit numbers I 0-9 Ion the remote control.
The selected programme number (e.g.: 'P OT) appears
in the upper right corner of the TV screen.
Volume control
You can control the volume level with the
I volume +/^~l buttons.
If you want to mute the sound temporarily (e.g.: during
a telephone call), press the I muteJ button on the
remote control. When you press it again, the sound
returns at the same volume level.
Picture control
You can control the brightness, contrast, sharpness and
colour with the I picture! button.

Press the I picture I h utton. At the bottom of the TV
screen a bar appears giving a graphic representation
of the actual brightness setting. If you want to alter
the contrast, sharpness or colour, press the
I pictureIhntton several times until the required
setting option appears.
G Change the setting with the E]or CH button.
O Finally, press the I Q«J button.
Note:
* If you cannot find the optimal picture setting
anymore, use the I reset | button.
All settings will return to their original state.
* In addition, you can adjust the tint for the
playback of cassettes in the NTSC standard.
