Please also note the following:
• When the tape reaches the end during playback,it
automatically rewinds to the beginning.
• If you load a cassette which has the erase tab removed, the
video recorder will start playing the cassette automatically.
You may then omit step @.
How do I correct picture disturbances (Auto-tracking)?
If the playback picture and/or sound quality of hired cassettes is
poor, the video head tracking position may be easily adjusted:
O Press button ►.
0 Press button ISl.
The video recorder will automatically find the best playback
quality within a few seconds. The sound is muted.
The automatically found optimum of very poor recordings can
sometimes be improved as follows:
O Press button ►.
0
Press button Bl.
0 Then press button ► at the very moment when the best
playback quality has been reached.
Other playback functions and particular features
Wind and rewind:
O Press button ■.
e Press button or
The tape will rewind or wind at high speed.
0 Press button ■ or ► when the required tape position is
reached.
Searching with picture:
O Press button ►.

Press button

G3 or ►► IE).
The tape will play forwards or backwards at 7 times the
normal speed, displaying the recorded image but without
sound.

Press button ► again when the required tape position is
reached.
Note:
The picture Is affected by interferences whilst it rewinds or winds
at speed. This does not Indicate a malfunction.
Still picture:
o Press button ►.

Press button ►!◄. The picture will stand still.
Each time you press this button,the tape will advance by one
step.

Press button ► for normal playback.
Please note:
Still pictures can sometimes present vertical vibrations.
Press and hold button

until the vibration disappears.
If the optimum position has been passed,press and hold button
9 again.
This adjustment for still pictures only has to be done once since
the video recorder will store the adjustment details automatically.
Important! With hired cassettes of poor quality the still picture
may nevertheless be affected by interference. This Is not caused
by your video recorder.
Fast motion:
O Press button {E3.
The recording is shown in fast motion.

Press button ► again for normal playback.
Play reverse at normal speed:
This function is very convenient if you wish to go back to a
particular scene.

The sound is muted.

If you wish to return to normal playback, press button ►.

Slow motion:

The recording is shown in slow motion.The sound is muted.

Press button ► to return to normal playback.
Variable slow motion:

The recording is shown In slow motion.

If buttons + or " is then pressed the slow motion speed
can be changed in 4 steps, i.e.1/6,1/10, 1/14,1/18 of the
normal playback speed.
During slow motion the sound Is muted.

Press button ► to return to normal playback speed.
Note: The slow motion speed selected using buttons + or
— stored until it is changed again.
Superslow motion:
With this set you can see the recorded programme in superslow
motion of exceptional quality.
O Press button ►.

Press and hold button ►!◄, The recording will be shown in
superslow motion.
