OVERVIEW
EN
The redundant power supply provides a stable switch running performance. It
helps ensure uninterrupted operation and protection against device power sup-
ply failures by providing seamless failover for the switch. RPS-300W-B module
provides PoE capability with a maximum output power of 240W.

Notes:
1. For more switch models, please choose it according to the power require-
ments of the backplane RPS.

PRECAUTIONS
• When installing or removing the RPS, wear an anti-static wrist strap or
gloves. It's necessary to ensure that one end of the strap is grounded and
the other end is in a good contact with the wearer's skin.
• Before installing, ensure that the working voltage of the external power sup-
ply system, the voltage marked on the RPS, and the output voltage of the
RPS are consistent with the required one.
• Do not touch any exposed wire parts in the RPS.
• Do not place the RPS in a damp place where the liquid may enter the
interior of the switch.
• Do not attempt to open the RPS casing without permission.
• Do not expose the RPS-60W-B to temperatures outside the range of 0°C
to 45°C for operation and -20°C to 70°C for storage; do not expose the
RPS-300W-B to temperatures outside the range of 0°C to 40°C for opera-
tion and -40°C to 85°C for storage.
• Do not expose the RPS-60W-B to environments outside of the following
humidity range: 10%-90% RH (Non-condensing) for operation and 5%-90%
RH (Non-condensing) for storage; do not expose the RPS-300W-B to
environments outside of the following humidity range: 10%-90% RH (Non-
condensing) for operation and 5%-95% RH (Non-condensing).

INSTALLATION

GWN7813 switch will be taken as an example.
Notes:
1. Before installing/removing the RPS bracket, disconnect the main power
supply of the switch.
2. Installation sequence of RPS: Install RPS → Connect RPS to the switch →
Connect the external power supply system.
3. Disassembly sequence of RPS: Disconnect external power supply system
→ Disconnect RPS and the switch → Remove RPS.
4. Power connection sequence: connect the main power first, then connect
the RPS. The RPS status can be confirmed by the RPS indicator on the
front panel of the switch.
Step 1: Find the four screw holes next to RPS silicone plug on the back of the
switch to ensure no obstructions.
Step 2: Fix the bracket base then align the four screw holes of the bracket
base with the four screw holes on the back of the switch, and use KM3*6
screws to secure the base.
