  • Page 2 WEP security. This Quick Start Guide shows how to connect to the WPA-1000 with an Ethernet cable in order to access it and first enable wireless security. This is recommended as the wireless connection is not secure by default, so people in adjacent rooms may be able to view your presentation.

  • Page 4 5 Look at the LEDs (lights) on the front panel of the WPA-1000. • The STATUS LED is orange while the WPA-1000 is starting up, and green when it is ready. • The LAN LED is steady green when it has a successful connection to your computer; it blinks while sending/receiving data.

  • Page 6 • Check your gray VGA cable is securely attached to the WPA-1000 and to the projector. 3 Configure Wireless Security on the WPA-1000 By default, the WPA-1000 has no wireless security. It is important to set up security on your wireless network before meeting participants connect wirelessly.

  • Page 8 SSID Type a name to identify this WPA-1000 in your wireless network list. ZyXEL is the default SSID. It is highly recommended you change this to a more specific name, especially if you have other ZyXEL wireless devices in your network.

  • Page 10 6 Your enabled wireless adapter icon in the bottom right of your computer monitor shows that you are connected to the WPA-1000. 7 Check the WLAN LED on your device. If it shows green the WPA-1000 has a successful wireless connection. If it is green and blinks it is sending /receiving data. If it is off, your device has no wireless connection.
