Programming the keypad and connecting to Tuya App
The APX-14T can be programmed with user codes & proximity fobs/cards into 2000 individual User ID numbers .
The factory default settings are as follows:
Programme code = 999999
User code or fobs = None programmed
Door open timer = 5 seconds
Either User Code or proximity fob/card can be used to unlock
To Enter programming mode

The LED indicator should be a solid red, press the LED should
flash red, enter the Programming code followed by # the LED
should turn green momentarily, then flash red.
To leave programming mode

Press the LED indicator should go back to a solid red.
To Program a code to unlock the door
Enter programming mode
Press 1 followed by the required User ID number (1-2000)
then press the #, then enter the code (must be a 4 digit code - 1234
cannot be used) then press #, this adds the code into the selected
User ID number, Repeat for each User

Press to leave programming mode
To enrol a fob/card to unlock the door
Enter programming mode
Press 1 followed by the User ID number (1-2000)
followed by #
Present fob/card to reader and take away pressing # adds a fob/card
into User ID number.
To sequentially enrol fobs/cards to unlock the door
Enter programming mode
Press 1 followed by the first User ID number (1-2000) required,
followed by #.
Present each fob/card sequentially to reader and take away, until all
have been presented.
Press # to add all fobs/card

Press to leave programming mode
To change the lock open time
Enter programming mode
Press 4 then the required time in seconds
(0 - 99 seconds - 5 is the default)
Press the # to enter the time

To delete a User code
Enter programming mode
Press 2 followed by the User ID number followed by the #
The code will be deleted

To delete a particular fob
Enter programming mode
Press 2 then present fobs or input User ID followed by the #

Press to leave programming mode
To delete all codes and fobs/cards
Enter programming mode
Press 2 followed by 0000 # (deletes all fobs and code)

We recommend that you change the default Programming code which is 999999 using the following sequence:-

To change the existing programming code
To reset the programming code
Power down the keypad
Power up the keypad then press the # Key briefly and release it
Programming code is now 999999 again
Note: this process will also remove the setting for the Tuya App
and therefore it will need to be reconfigured.

Connecting the APX-14T to Tuya Smart App
If you do not already have the Tuya Smart App please
download and install onto your Smart Device/Phone,
create an account and log-in
Before connecting the APX-14T to Tuya Smart App you
must connect your Smart Device/Phone to the 2.4Ghz
Wi-Fi Network the Reader will be configured to.
Your Smart Device's Bluetooth must also be ON and the
mobile data connection must be switch off, to ensure that
data is sent via the Wi-Fi network
You must be as close to the router as possible during
configuration (under 2m), the installed location of the
reader must have a strong Wi-Fi signal (check signal
strength at install location using your Smart Device).
The APX-14T must be in "Wi-Fi matching" mode when
configuring to Tuya.

then solid red.
Press 73# the LED will turn green then begin to flash
signaling it is in "Wi-Fi matching" mode.
Within the Tuya Smart App select "+">>"Add Device".
The Auto-scan feature will initiate to automatically find the
APX-14T.
Once detected the reader will appear at the top of the
screen under "Discovering Devices".
Select "Add" next to the listed device the screen will
change; select the "+" to "tap and add the device" as
detailed by App.
The app will now display a connection screen depicting
the progress made towards successfully configuring to the
Wi-Fi Network.
Once connected the reader will be displayed within the
App and the physical product will return to its standby
state.
Consult separate Tuya Manual for App functionality.
N.B. Codes programmed via App can be 6 digits. Those
programmed via reader uses 4 digits.

his kit contains all the equipment required to install a single door access control system.

The keypad can be installed either internally or externally to meet with your requirements, all other
components must be fitted internally.
The electro-magnetic lock can be fitted direct to the frame for outward opening doors or with the Z&L
bracket for inward opening doors.
The green call point and 'PRESS TO EXIT' button should ideally be fitted at a height of 1.2m from the floor
level to allow for ease of access.
The keypad can be programmed manually or via the Tuya App which is free to download. The Tuya App
can be used either via Bluetooth for up to 5 metres or Wi-Fi, enabling you to manage users, add & remove
temporary users, and view the attendance log, which is time and date stamped, giving you full control
remotely.
To use the keypad either enter a valid code followed by the # or present an enrolled fob/card, the LED will
change to green for the pre-programmed lock open time, then change back to red when the lock open
time has expired, while the LED is green the electro magnetic lock will be released allowing you to open
the restricted door.
# Momentarily press and release the 'Request to Exit button' , the LED on the keypad will change to green
for the pre-programmed lock time, allowing you to open the restricted door, after the lock time has
expired the electro magnetic lock will be re-engaged, the door must be in the correctly closed position,
therefore holding the door secure.
In the event of a emergency the green manual call point must be pressed, this will ensure that the electro
magnetic lock is not active and therefore will not restrict access.
