Troubleshooting
Should you have any problems during the operation of this stereo system please check that all the controls are set to their proper po-
sitions and that all the connections are correct (refer to this manual for the proper procedures). Ifa problem persists refer to the advice
below.

If the problem can not be corrected with the instructions below, write down the model and serial numbers and all pertinent data re-
garding warranty coverage, as well as a clear description of the problem and contact your nearest AKAI service centre.

@ CD and cassette tapes are not loaded.

@ Blank spaces between selections are less than 4 seconds long.

@ Recording defeat tabs on cassette tape have been removed.
@ Input selector is not set to proper position.
@ Play button has not been pressed after pressing REC PAUSE button.
@ REC PAUSE button has not been pressed.
@ Weak batteries.
Replace the batteries.
@ Obstacle in front of remote sensor window.
@ TAPE OPERATION button has not been pressed to set the buttons
for desired deck operation.
@ Remote control does not operate.
@ Tape operation buttons can not be operated.
@ Clock is not set to present time.
@ "TIMER REC' or "TIMER WAKE" indicator is not lit.
@ CDor cassette tape has not been loaded.
@ Stations have not been memorized.
@ Dirty heads, capstans, tape guides or pinch rollers
