Sound adjustment
Volume adjustment
Use the VOLUME control to adjust the sound volume.
To increase the volume:
@ Turn the VOLUME control toward "0".
To decrease the volume:
@ Turn the VOLUME control toward "co".
Note:
@ Volume can also be adjusted with the remote control's VOL-
UME "~/ \ button.
Volume balance
Use the BALANCE control to adjust the left and right channel
volume balance.
For equal left/right channel volume output:
@ Set the control to the centre position.
To decrease the right channel volume:
M@ Turn the control towards the LEFT position.
To decrease the left channel volume:
M Turn the control towards the RIGHT position
Volume mute
The remote control's MUTE button can be used when you want
to quickly lower the volume.
To engage volume mute:
@ Press the MUTE button.
The VOLUME control's indicator will flash when mute is en-
gaged.
To cancel the mute mode, press the MUTE button again.
Note:
® Mute is automatically cancelled when the power is turned off
or when the INPUT SELECTOR button is pressed to change
the input source.
Super bass
The bass can be increased with the SUPER BASS button. There
are two super bass settings: SB-1 and SB-2.
Press the SUPER BASS button.
The SB-1 indicator will light on the system FL display.
On the MX-650 model, the SUPER BASS button will light
while super bass is engaged.
On the MX-550 model, the SUPER BASS ENHANCER indi-
cator will light while super bass is engaged.
Press the SUPER BASS button again.
The SB-2 indicator will light.
To cancel the super bass mode, press the button once
more.
