THAWING
Food can be thawed in a
number of ways, depending on
the type of food and the size of
the packs.
Meat, fish and fruit should
be thawed in the refrigeration
compartment
and
small
pieces of meat or poultry can
even be cooked while still
frozen.
Vegetables should be di¬
rectly immersed in boiling
water; ready-cooked dishes
can be placed directly in the
oven
in
their aluminium
wrapping.
A microwave oven is partic¬
ularly suitable for thawing
any type of frozen or deep-
frozen food: follow the oven
instructions carefully, parti¬
cularly regarding the place¬
ment of aluminium wrapping
in the oven.
DEFROSTING
Defrosting of the freezer,
Superchill and refrigerator is
automatic.
The water is discharged,
via pipes, into two trays locat¬
ed at the back of the appli¬
ance, above the compressors,
where it evaporates.
Please note that during the
automatic defrost cycle of the
freezer the thermometer may
show a slight rise in tempera¬
ture.
To avoid defrost water
overflowing into the fridge,
periodically clean the water
discharge hole in the centre of
the V shaped drip collector at
the back of the refriger¬
ator compartment behind the
fruit and vegetable drawers.
Use the special cleaner
provided, which you will find
already inserted into the dis¬
charge hole.
