SAFETY
MAINTENANCE
Follow good maintenance practices. Understand and
adhere to all maintenance procedures outlined in this
manual. Keep the service area clean and dry. Be sure
electrical outlets and tools are properly grounded.
Use adequate light for the job at hand. Make sure
there is plenty of ventilation. Keep all persons away
from the work area while performing maintenance
and adjustments. A fully stocked firs-aid kit should
be readily available in case of injury.
Before working on this machine, shut off the power
unit engine, set the brakes, and remove the ignition
keys. Ensure all moving parts on the power unit
and the implement have stopped entirely before
attempting to detach the implement.
Do not perform maintenance on the implement while
it is attached to a power unit.
Securely block up the equipment on sufficient
supports before working underneath.

Always use personal protective devices, such as eye,
hand, and hearing protectors, when performing any
service or maintenance. Wear a respirator or filter
mask when appropriate.
Frequently check the implement. It should be free of
nicks and cracks and securely fastened. Periodically
tighten all bolts, nuts, and screws to ensure the unit
is in a safe working condition. Do not allow debris,
grease, or oil to build up on the implement.
After servicing, remove all tools, service equipment
and unneeded parts from the implement.
Use genuine factory replacement parts to restore
your equipment to original specifications. The
manufacturer will not be responsible for injuries or
damages cause by using unapproved parts and/or
accessories.
STORAGE
Clean the implement thoroughly before storage.
Store the implement on a level surface, free of debris,
and in an area away from human and livestock
activity.
Take adequate measures to keep the implement dry
and protected from the weather.
Before prolonged storage:
1. Inspect the implement for wear.
2. Replace any damaged parts or safety decals
that are no longer readable.
3. Touch up paint nicks and scratches to prevent
rusting.
