ADJUSTING FRONT
DECK BAFFLE
(Models with an "F" prefix in model number)
—•he front of the cutting deck on these models has
cee- cut out. This allows the blade to have more
- -e~ contact with the grass and allows more air
flow
-:o deck chamber. The adjustable baffle
s~c be secured in the lowest position when using
3 grass bag. The baffle should be secured in the
ngnest oosition when mulching grass. NOTE: Under
certain renditions, when mulching, some grass may
blow rut from under front of baffle. This is normal but,
re arcunt of grass blowing out can be reduced,
-ewer baffle down slightly until the smallest amount of
grass blow out is present.
1. Stop engine.

highest ccsition when mulching grass. Take care to
keep re oaffle's lower edge parallel to the bottom of

4. Retigfrten wing nuts securely.

Before attempting any adjustments to the cutting
height, front baffle cr installing or removing grass
catcher,

e-gine, remove the spark plug
wire from the spark plug and secure wire away from
plug. DO NOT make any adjustments with engine or
blade
running
Be
extremely
careful
when
performing adjustments around engine. Engine is
extremely hot and can cause severe burns. Wear
heavy leather ai-oves when handling or working
around cuttir,c trades. Blades are extremely sharp
and can cause severe injury.

Install crass catcher by sliding connector over
