Introduction

The Room Distribution Unit (RDU) is designed to be mounted directly on top of a Vapac Virtuoso Steam Humidifier
model VE05-1P, VE09-1P or VE09-3P. The RDU essentially consists of a stainless steel manifold connected to the
steam outlet of the humidifier via a steam hose and a number of axial fans contained in a metal box. The steam
manifold distributes steam from the humidifier evenly across the face of the fans, which then blow the steam into the
conditioned space for absorption into the surrounding air. Note that the fans will only run when the humidifier is
producing steam.
Please keep this manual in a safe place, where it can be immediately accessed.
If the equipment is passed on to a new owner / operator, this manual must be
passed on to them too. If this manual should be misplaced, please contact Vapac for
a replacement.
Do not permit the area around the humidifier and RDU to become damp or wet.
If dampness does occur, turn the output of the humidifier down. If the humidifier
output volume cannot be turned down, use the humidifier intermittently. Do not
allow absorbent materials, such as carpeting, curtains, drapes, or tablecloths, to
become damp.
Be aware that high humidity levels may encourage the growth of biological
organisms in the environment.
