*(Note: if you plug in BNC cables then power, you might cause power overload
that will require expensive maintenance before the camera becomes operational
once again. This can also happen if the camera is powered down and has a
battery attached to the camera)
2) WHEN DISCONNECTING/POWERING DOWN/ CANGING BATTERIES: unplug
BNC cables, from camera FIRST, then turn camera off before changing batteries or
powering down.
3) (These steps should also be used if any HDMI cables/adapters are used, please
discuss the use of HDMI accessories with your cinematography instructor prior to
using.)
4) Also avoid using D-tap cables for accessories, there are two shielded 2 pin
Lemo power outlets built into the camera battery plate that will be safer for use. Most
rented accessories can be used with these Lemo plugs.
*REMEMBER: follow the safe cable connecting rules:
When connecting: FIRST connect power cables, THEN BNC. When
disconnecting: FIRST disconnect the BNC, THEN the power.
