Air openings must be provided
Combustion and ventilation air openings to be in accordance
with the section "Air for Combustion and Ventilation," of the
National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54 – latest edi-
tion, or applicable provisions of the local building codes.
Provide adequate combustion and ventilation air
to assure proper combustion and reduce the risk
of severe personal injury, death or substantial
property damage caused by flue gas spillage and
carbon monoxide emissions.
