The water softener function acts through
special resins present in the appliance.
To regenerate the resins and make them
ready to soften the water pour a special
salt in the compartment
1. Open the detergent dispenser.
2. Open the compartment
3. Pour the special salt.

4. Close the salt compartment and the
detergent dispenser.
Regularly check if there is
enough salt.
The compartment
600 gr of salt that are sufficient for about
two months if the default water hardness
level (C04) is set and the water softener
is activated during wash phase only. A
different water hardness level or different
setting may increase or decrease the salt
consumption. Refer to 'How to set the
water hardness level' and 'How to set the
water softener also during rinse phase'.
