Inbetriebnahme
Aufstellung des Gerates
Das Gerat Stereo-sonic 2401 ist speziell als
Standgerat konzipiert worden. Es darf daher
auch nur auf dem mitgelieferten Stereo-
Sonic-FuB mit eingebauten BaB-Lautspre-
chern betrieben werden (Abb. @). Die Auf-
stellung in einer Schrankwand ist nicht vorge-
sehen.
Den Stecker des Lautsprecherkabels durch
das Loch (x) des FuBes fiihren (Abb.@).
Das Gerat paBgerecht auf den Gehdusefu8
setzen und mit den beiliegenden 2 Schrau-
ben (a) befestigen.
Den Stecker des Lautsprecherkabels in die
AnschluBbuchse (Cb) des Gerates stecken.
Netzkabel und Antennenkabel werden auf der
Rickseite des GehdusefuBes unsichtbar ver-
legt. Dazu werden die 4 Schrauben der
Kabelschachtabdeckung (b) herausge-
'schraubt, die Abdeckung abgenommen, die
Kabel eingelegt und die Abdeckung wieder
aufgeschraubt.
Die Stereo-Lautsprecherboxen
werden an die
beiden Lautsprecherbuchsen (Cl) vorne auf
der Gerateunterseite angeschlossen
(Abb. @).
NetzanschliuB
Beachten Sie bitte, daB dieses Gerat an 220V
Wechselspannung angeschlossen wird. Im
Zweifelsfall tiberzeugen Sie sich an Ihrem
Stromzahler, ob die Spannung des Lichtnet-
zes
220 V ~ betragt.
AntennenanschluB
Die Norm-AnschluBbuchse
(75 Ohm) fiir den
gemeinsamen VHF-/UHF-AntennenanschluB
(Ant) befindet sich auf der Riickseite des
Gerates (Abb.© ).
O | Ejin- und Ausschalten
Vor dem Einschalten klappen Sie bitte erst
die beiden Lautsprecherboxen auf. Driicken
Sie die Schliisseltaste (E). Ihr Gerat ist jetzt
eingeschaltet. Bild und Ton kommen mit den
zuletzt eingestellten Werten. Ausgeschaitet
wird das Gerdat, indem Sie die Taste (E) noch-
mals driicken. Wenn der Schliissel von der
Taste gezogen
wird, l48t sich das Gerat nicht
einschalten.

Initial operation
Mounting the receiver
The Stereo-sonic 2401 receiver is designed
as a stand receiver. It should therefore only
be operated in conjunction with the provided
Stereo-Sonic foot which is fitted with the
built-in bass loudspeaker (fig. @). The instal-
lation of the receiver in a wall cabinet unit
has not been taken into consideration.
Lead the plug of the loudspeaker cable
through the hole (x) in the foot (fig.
@ ).
Set the receiver in the correct position on the
foot and secure with the 2 screws (a) pro-
vided.
Insert the piug of the loudspeaker cable
into
the connection socket (Cb) of the receiver.
Mains and antenna cables are routed to the
rear of the foot so that they are invisible. For
this the 4 screws of the cabie channel cover
(b) are extracted and the cover removed.
After laying the cables into the channel the
cover is re-fitted.
The stereo loudspeaker boxes are connected
to the two loudspeaker sockets (Cl), these
are located underneath the receiver towards
the front edge (fig. @ ).
Mains power connection
Please note that this receiver must be con-
nected to a 220 V AC mains supply. If you
are in doubt of your supply value, this can be
ascertained from your electricity supply met-
er. This should be marked 220 V ~.
Antenna socket
The standard antenna socket (75 ohm) for
the common VHF/UHF antenna circuit (Ant is
located on the rear cover (fig. @)).

O1}! Switching On and Off
Before switching on, swing the two loud-
speaker boxes into the open position. Press
the key switch (E). Your receiver is now
switched on. Picture and sound will appear at
the last preset values. The receiver is
switched off by again pressing switch (E).
When the key is withdrawn from the switch,
the receiver cannot be switched on.
If the receiver is in the Stand-by condition
(time indication only) it can switched on by
either the mains switch (E) - release and
press again — or with button (P) for pro-
gramme selection.
