the power on/off switch (see Figure 1-1).
• IBM 3255 Display Control Unit Models 1 and 2. Switch power on by

(see Figure 1-1). Open the front
door of the 3255 and observe the OPER indicator on the test panel.
Switching power on starts the 3255 self-checks.
If
the tests end without
detecting an error, the OPER indicator goes on.
