Cleaning and servicing the machine

7.1 Maintaining the machine

To ensure proper operation, the described maintenance
work must be carried out at the specified intervals.
Risk of death due to electric shock!
► Switch off the machine.
► Disconnect the mains plug from the mains
socket to de-energise the machine.
Have ready for the maintenance work:
– Brush and cleaning cloth
– Display cleaner
– Spiritus
– Allen keys 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.0 mm

7.2 Maintenance plan

Interval/maintenance activity

Clean the outside of the machine
Clean the working area
As needed
Replace cutting blades
Renew feed rollers

7.3 Cleaning the outside of the machine

► Make sure that the machine is de-energised (see chap-
ter 7.1).
ATTENTION
Surfaces can be damaged!
Unsuitable cleaning agents can scratch or destroy the
display and the protective cover.
► Observe the recommended cleaning agents for all
cleaning work.
► Do not use harsh cleaners or solvents or abrasive
cleaning agents at any point.
► Clean the display carefully either with a special clean-
ing cloth for display surfaces or with a soft cloth and a
screen cleaning agent.
► Clean the protective covers and the surface of the ma-
chine with a soft cloth and, if necessary, a soap-based
cleaning agent.

7.4 Disassembling and assembling the pro-
tective cover
You must dismantle the protective cover for cleaning and
maintenance.
Allen key 2.0 mm
► Make sure that the machine is de-energised (see chap-
ter 7.1).
► Have a container ready for the mounting screws.

► Loosen the two mounting screws (Figure 7.1, 1).
► Lift off the protective cover(Figure 7.1, 2) and carefully
put it aside.
As soon as all maintenance work has been completed, you
should immediately refit the protective cover, even if the
machine will not be used again immediately.
► Place the protective cover on the machine so that the
mounting screws engage in the drill holes.
► Tighten both mounting screws.
