Before using the appliance, please check the voltage and the type of plug that
is required for your location.
Before using it for the first time, remove all packaging materials from the
appliance and its accessories, thoroughly clean and dry the appliance as
described in the "CARE AND MAINTENANCE" section.
Place the appliance on a dry, flat and heat-resistant working surface.
Always make sure the appliance is unplugged when not in use, before use, or
after use.
Provide adequate air space above and on all sides for air circulation when
using the appliance. Do not allow it to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing,
dishtowels or other flammable materials during use.
Never plug in the appliance when the cooking pot is empty, or without the
cooking pot.
Always disconnect the power after each use. The rice cooker does not switch
off automatically.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the outside of the cooking pot and heating element
are dry and clean prior to use, as it may damage or cause the appliance
to malfunction.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Cooking Rice
1.
Position the spatula to the holder on the side of the housing and condensation
collector below the lid hinge.

Press the release button and open the lid by its handle. Then take out the
cooking pot.

Using the measuring cup provided, measure out the required quantity of rice.
Note: Volume of the measuring cup = 180ml
1 cup of uncooked rice = 2 cups of cooked rice (approximately)

Rinse the rice in a separate bowl until water becomes relatively clear; drain.
Do not rinse the rice in the cooking pot as this could damage the
non-stick coating.

Pour rinsed rice and proper amount of cold water in the cooking pot.
Note: Do not exceed the max. level mark indicated on the inside of the
cooking pot.

Place the cooking pot into the housing. Turn the cooking pot left and right to
make sure it is in proper contact with the heating element.
NOTE: Before putting the cooking pot back into the housing, wipe off the
water around the pot. Make sure outside of the cooking pot and heating
element are dry and clean, and that there is no foreign object shall be on
the surface.

Close the lid until the latch clicks and lid is fully closed.

Insert the power cord into the socket on the rice cooker, then plug the other
end to the power supply outlet. The keep warm indicator lights up and the rice
cooker will be on standby mode.

Press the one-touch rice cooking switch to start cooking. The keep warm
indicator will go out with the cooking indicator switches on.
Note: Make sure the cooking pot is fully inserted and in proper contact with
the heating plate otherwise the cooking switch doesn't stay on COOK position
when pressed and the cooking indicator will not light up.
10. The rice cooker will determine the exact cooking time depending on the
quantity of water and rice placed in the cooking pot.
NOTE: Do not open the lid while it is operating as steam will escape and this
will affect the cooking time.
11. Once the rice is cooked, the cooking switch will pop up and with a click
sound. The rice cooker automatically switches to "Keep-Warm" mode, the
cook indicator will switch off and the keep warm indicator lights up.
12. Open the lid and use the plastic spatula provided to mix the rice. Then close
the lid, let the rice keep warm for another 15 minutes.
NOTE: Be careful when opening the lid as escaping steam or dripping water
may cause burns to hands or fingers.
